WK Uptown was used AI in the spring 2008 breeding season at Whitestone Krebs, Lazy JB, Rockn' R, and others. Now that the calves are on the ground (Spring 2009) we are more excited about WK Uptown than ever before. The first calves have very modest birth weights with impressive phenotype. They are peas in a pod in terms of consistency.
WK Uptown is backed by an extraordinary mother who is a top producer in the Whitestone Krebs cowherd with progeny ratios of BW 3@99, WW 3@106, YW 3@104, and 3@105 for both IMF and RE. His paternal granddam is the mother of the popular ABS sire, Connealy Lead On!
To date, WK Uptowns mother has never weaned a calf that weighed less than 765 lbs., or that scanned with less than a 15 square inch rib eye!
WK Uptown has proven himself suitable for high altitude environments with a PAP Score of 37. He worked all summer at an altitude of 8000 feet.
